In response to the enthusiasm from our members, we have created this authorised Word template so you can make your own See me. Know me. posters with the clients and residents you are supporting.
Use our published See me. Know me. posters as a talking point, or the ‘Conversation Sentence-Starters’ to guide your reflections. Remember – the point is as much about the process as it is about the poster. Allow plenty of time and work with the person on how they want to be seen / what they want to include. Each person will generally share much, much more than what you can fit on a little poster. Part of the process is taking the time to distill key points so that their poster is easily read. Best done by staff with capability in spiritual care.
NOTE – there are many versions of Microsoft Word, so you may need to explore on line, or ask a colleague, if the instructions don’t fit your exact version.
We have also published a ‘do it yourself’ version of our popular ‘Sharing Mini’ postcards. Print onto paper and cardboard, and create your own set of questions that we know are highly appreciated as a way to have a conversation with a bit more depth.
Go to our campaign website for more information about See me. Know me. where you will find resources for groups in the community. This campaign is empowering older people to feel more valued, and if they ever need aged care, to find organisations that will really tune in to them as whole people.
