This month, in addition to our Royal Commission submission, we have been fine-tuning our response to the proposed new funding model for residential aged care, the Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC). This model is based on the results of the Resource Utilisation and Classification Study (RUCS) and was long overdue.
Unfortunately, our analysis shows that the real cost of enabling full quality of life for people accessing residential care has once again been underestimated. The window for feedback to the government is still open and we need your help to make this point heard.
