Farewell from CEO Ilsa Hampton
We know you are frantic.
It’s the start of a new year and things never really eased off over the holiday period in many aged care services. Indeed, in a large number of locations, life has become even tougher. The gap between what you can see is needed and what you can actually offer has widened. Hearts are in danger of breaking.
What can we do to support you?
We are listening.
We are finding ways to create what you need.
We are reminding people with power that the new aged care should be a system where people thrive, where they can breathe, where the weary can rest, and where deep belonging can be found.
Tell us, if you haven’t already, how we can help. The team are waiting for your call or email.
This is my final column before I leave Meaningful Ageing on 9 February. I am so grateful for the chance to work with you, our community, over the last six years. I have met so many inspiring people. I can’t thank the board and team members enough for their love and support.
Jacquie Molloy will be Interim CEO during the appointment process for my successor.
Farewell for now,
Ilsa
