Register for Future EventsIn mental health settings across the globe spiritual care practitioners have been leading spirituality discussion groups and in doing so addressing important spiritual health needs for mental health patients in their care.
These group offerings have become fixtures on the inpatient therapeutic program and are well regarded by the multidisciplinary team as providing an invaluable addition to holistic person-centred care models.
Much of the groupwork done in the mental health space is intuitive, creative and draws upon skill sets derived from broader life experience and even previous professional careers.
Those that are offering groups do so with confidence and ease, whilst other practitioners look on with equal parts interest and trepidation. So how do we bridge this skill gap and equip more practitioners to step into this deeply enriching and meaningful way to deliver spiritual care?
This workshop will bring together direct practitioner experience and insights gathered over numerous decades and represent the voices of many mental health spiritual care practitioners in the sharing of data collected by way of different approaches, inspirations and outcomes.
Facilitated by Jennifer Greenham, a highly experienced Mental Health Leader and Spiritual Practitioner.
Attendees will receive a free copy of ‘When Two or More Are Gathered: A Guide to Providing Spirituality Discussion Groups in Mental Health Settings. 2025 SHA
