Join us for a discussion about the new Support at Home program that will be implemented as part of the new Aged Care Act and funding mechanism from July 1st 2025.

From 1 July 2025, the new Support at Home program will replace the Home Care Packages Program and the Short-Term Restorative Care (STRC) Programme.  This discussion will look at how spiritual care and emotional wellbeing sits into the framework.

More information about the program can be found here.  The Support at Home program is designed to provide:

  • upfront supports to maintain independence, such as allied health, assistive technology and home modifications,
  • new classification and budget levels to better meet a person’s aged care needs,
  • participant contributions set by government.
  • and from no earlier than 1 July 2027, the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) will transition into Support at Home. (Until that time, CHSP will continue to operate as a separate program for existing clients and new clients with low-level needs).

Join our Chair, Mr Paul Sadler to unpack the changes and how spiritual care can be delivered or impacted by the changes.

About our Community of Practice program

Our monthly Community of Practice 1-hour workshops offer member organisations a quality professional peer-to-peer development event. Each workshop combines the sharing of best practices, new approaches and innovations by a guest presenter and the opportunity for Q&A and small group discussions.

Can’t join us on the day? Not a problem: everyone who registers receives a copy of the replay.
