This month’s guest is Kylie Ash from Advanced Care Planning Australia. Kylie will explain how advanced care directives can be an empowering exercise, which transforms this process into a gift, not just a ‘difficult conversation’. We’ll also learn some of the misconceptions around this often emotional decision.

Our monthly all-access 30-minute webinar for members and others interested in aged care. This webinar series introduces participants to innovative resources and ideas.

This is a free event, and all are welcome. All registrants will receive access to the replay.

Advance Care Planning Australia is an Australian Government initiative administered by Brisbane South Palliative Care Collaborative, Metro South Health.
They aim to promote and improve advance care planning for all Australians. Advance care planning involves planning for your future health care. It allows people to decide what health care they would or wouldn’t want if they become unable to make or communicate your treatment preferences in the future.

ACPA’s vision is for people to:
– have a say in their future health care
– record and share their wishes and preferences
– be heard by their care providers
– have their wishes and preferences respected.
