A conversation about cultural safety and what it means for the older people you care for, with a special guest panel:

Renu Borst, AAG

Agnieszka Chudecka, PICAC alliance

Cassara Hardie & Lisa Orcher from NATSIAACC

An important session to kick the year off: what is cultural safety (and is it the same as culturally appropriate)?

Let’s talk what we mean by this term, what it requires in terms of robust systems and policies, and where the gaps currently are.

What do you need to know and what are you doing well?

Bring your stories and questions to this dynamic session to help us all with true person-centred care.

Our monthly Community of Practice 1-hour workshops offer member organisations a quality professional peer-to-peer development event. Each workshop combines the sharing of best practices, new approaches and innovations by a guest presenter and the opportunity for Q&A and small group discussions.

Can’t join us on the day? Not a problem: everyone who registers receives a copy of the replay.

Renu Borst, AAG (Australian Association of Gerontology)

Agnieszka Chudecka, PICAC alliance (Partners in Culturally Appropriate Care)

Cassara Hardie & Lisa Orcher from NATSIAACC (National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Ageing and Aged Care Council)
