Meaningful Ageing Australia Seminars – developing your pastoral and spiritual care
These seminars are designed in collaboration with local members.
Thurs 2nd March 1.00-3.00pm, Albury:
- Front line staff will develop an understanding of spirituality and how to begin integrating spiritual care in their work
- Experienced spiritual care practitioners will participate in a practice reflection and share their local challenges and solutions
- Everyone will hear about Meaningful Ageing Australia’s highly practical resources
- Time to meet others who are committed to whole of person care
All sessions align with the National Guidelines for Spiritual Care in Aged Care

It’s Time to Enrol!
Have you been considering education and training in pastoral and spiritual care? Course admissions processes for 2017 are now open.
Whether you an activities staff member or care manager who would like to expand your foundation in spiritual care practice, or a spiritual care practitioner wishing to develop research skills, Meaningful Ageing Australia can support you in your search for the right course. We have recently updated our comprehensive database of training and education opportunities for accredited courses. These include VET (Cert IV and Diploma level) and Higher Education (Post Graduate Certificates, Diplomas and Masters) courses. Many courses are offered via distance or online, so you can study wherever you are.

Post-graduate Christian-specific
A post-graduate course in Ageing and Pastoral Studies will equip you for life, ministry and work by enhancing you professional practice in providing holistic care that includes attending to the spiritual needs of older people sensitively and effectively. You can undertake a Graduate Diploma or a Masters degree online. These courses have been revised and updated with electives to support your interests and goals. The courses prepare graduates from a variety of backgrounds in aged care, including health professionals (nurses, lifestyle, allied health) pastoral workers and ministers of religion. These courses equip you with advanced knowledge and skills to apply in a range of roles in the aged care sector and/or seniors ministry.
