Who is Parker?
Parker is a conversationalist built on The HEART’ model, serving as both a framework and a guide.
What can I use Parker for?
Parker offers interactive experiences like guided conversations, scenarios, practice dialogues, and roleplay sessions, starting with questions such as, ‘What does working with heart mean to you?’.
What information is used?
Parker doesn’t keep any personal information from people who chat with it. Meaningful Ageing Australia and aged care member organisations will receive sentiment analysis on participant feedback, highlighting key themes, challenges, and barriers in using The HEART model or delivering spiritual care in aged care. This will help determine if new resources, tools, or support for The HEART model are needed to better guide the sector in responding to spiritual care needs.
Parker understands scope of practice
Parker is designed to adapt to the user’s language and pace, with a defined scope of practice to recognise limitations indicating spiritual distress or situations where a spiritual care professional should be involved.
Disclaimer
Parker is here to help you think through and explore the HEART model, framework, and guidelines. You can dive in as deeply and for as long as you want – you’re always in control of when to pause or revisit the conversation. The real power of The HEART model comes when you apply it to your everyday work. Parker isn’t perfect, and while care has been taken to provide guidance and reference The evidence basis of The HEART model, there may still be limitations or updates needed after the pilot phase.
Parker is not static
It’s constantly learning and evolving, becoming smarter with each interaction. This continuous improvement relies on four key elements:
- Data Processing – Ensuring the data Parker consumes is accurate and relevant
- Natural Language Inference – Interpreting the nuanced meanings and sentiments within public expressions
- Cognitive Architecture – The sophisticated “brain” that allows Parker to analyse, reason, and form informed opinions
- Natural Language Communication – Expressing those opinions clearly and concisely in everyday language
